Information Systems Audit and Control Association, now known as ISACA, is an independent non-profit association focused on industry-leading knowledge and practices for information systems.

The Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification is designed for Project Managers, IT Professionals, or those experienced in the management of IT risk and the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of IS controls. The number of certification holders is relatively small (approximately 20,000), as is the demand. But CRISC also results in one of the highest paid salaries for a certification holder in the field.

Prerequisites:

• A minimum of three years of cumulative work experience executing the tasks of a CRISC pro across at least two CRISC domains.
• One domain must be either IT Risk Identification or IT Risk Assessment
• Other can also include Risk and Control Monitoring and Reporting or Risk Response and Mitigation
• Take and pass the CRISC exam
• Adhere to the ISACA Code of Professional Ethics
• Meet the terms of CRISC Continuing Education Policy
